ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA
Only members of 100+ Women Who Care Columbus, Mississippi, are eligible to nominate an organization for our Impact Award. Nominations must be submitted prior to a voting meeting. All nominations must be vetted by the nomination committee.
Charities and organizations must:
Be based and operating in Lowndes County.
Have 501(c) or 501(c) 3 status in Mississippi and be in good standing with the Secretary of State.
Agree to use 100% of the funds awarded in Lowndes, County.
Agree to send a representative to the next meeting of 100+ WWC Columbus, Mississippi to present how the Impact Award will be used to further their mission or in the case of a virtual meeting communicate how the funds are being used in a letter.
In addition:
National and international charities, programs and organizations will not be considered, as the focus is on contributing to our local community. Organizations with a national association may be nominated provided the request is for a project to be delivered in Lowndes County, Mississippi. 100 % of the funds must stay in our community.
Previous recipients of the Impact Award must remain out of the “golden drum” for 4 cycles.
Members of 100+ WWC Columbus, Mississippi, may only have one ( 1 ) organization nominated at a time.
If multiple members submit the same organization for consideration, the member submitting the organization first will present on behalf of the organization. Members submitting duplicate nominations may nominate a different organization. One ticket only for each nominated and vetted organization is placed in The Golden Drum for drawing.
